What Are The Benefits Of Herbalife?
Herbal Aloe Concentrate, Nutritional Shake Mix And Personalised Protein Powder. ≪- They Are The Products That My Mum Has. Can You Please Tell Me All The Benefits , If You Do Know? Thank You So Much!! (:
The only benefits Herbalife has over a proper diet of high quality foods is the profit the products bring to the makers of Herbalife. You and our mother should avoid supplements and learn how to eat right.
Dietary supplements do not have to conform to the stringent standards applied to pharmaceuticals or food products by the US FDA. The result of this absence of oversight has been a scammer's dream and the scammers have made the most of it. A huge and powerful supplement industry has grown up around this lack of government oversight which was designed to give people the freedom to explore homeopathic, naturopathic, and alternative remedies. That was the purpose of the 1994 DSHEA. Details are here --> http://www.fda.gov/food/dietarysupplemen...
Here's how the scammers work. They flood the internet with ads, bogus reviews, fake articles, fraudulent scientific white papers, phony blogs, scam articles, and even scam stories designed to expose the competition while promoting their products as the only "real" supplement that works. Their strategy is to drown out the truth and dominate the search engines so no matter where you look on the web you'll find only good things about their products. Check out this link about the big Shakeology scam ---> http://trek2befit.com/shakeology-scam . Did you notice how it's really just an ad for Shakeology. The reason you find it when you search for "Shakeology scam" is because they want to be everywhere you're looking with advertising. That's how scammers dominate the internet.
Watch this investigative report from CBS News to see how one scammer works. --> http://www.cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=5... (you'll have to sit through a quick commercial message first).
Scammers target the young and credulous demographic because they know they can sway them with greater ease than the older, wiser buying public. But, there are some easy questions you can answer using simple logic to be able to qualify a scammer as suspect. Here are some examples.
• If there was an easy way to do hard things like burn fat or build muscle, why doesn't the whole world know about it? How could that be kept secret when that's what so many people desire?
• If there were supplements that could help burn fat or build muscle, why haven't the huge and powerful pharmaceutical companies taken them over? Why let the scammers like GNC and Weider continue to make $millions off the public when they have a much greater capacity for providing such products?
• If there was a supplement that helped people shed pounds, why doesn't your doctor know about it? If you're overweight, why doesn't your physician just give you the pill or recommend the acai or HCG diet or whatever? Why are physicians always telling the same story about obesity and how to cope with it?
• Why do people pay big bucks to have liposuction or stomach stapling if supplements could really help them to lose fat?
• If protein supplements, creatine, nitrous oxide, etc. really helped build lean muscle mass, why don't Olympic athletes use them? Why don't they feed them to our military personnel in boot camp or billets around the world? Why are they not used in every police department or correctional institution around the US? Why don't the scammers tell you their success stories? You will never see an endorsement of a supplement from the military. You will, however, find many military articles warning their people away from such trickery. Here's one example --> http://military-fitness.military.com/2011/03/sneaky-muscle-supplement-scams.html
There is only one good answer to all of these questions. Most of the supplements which are supposed to make you lose fat, add muscle, grow taller, kill appetite, gain weight, bulk up, get ripped, etc. just don't work. It's really that simple.
Check out this list of over 60 dangerous supplements products sold with bogus advertising claims which scam-site bodybuilding.com was forced to recall and take off the market --> http://www.usrecallnews.com/2009/11/bodybuilding-com-supplements-recalled-may-contain-steroids.html . Does the human race really need 60 supplements just for muscle building and thousands of other supplements for other things? Can 100,000 years of evolution and eating food really be that wrong?
When surfing the web for supplements, be skeptical, use critical thinking, and always validate your information before believing it to be true. The golden rule for intelligent consumerism is still...
If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably a scam.

Does Anyone What You Can Take?
Does Anyone Know If You Have Thyroid What You Can Take? What Type Of Diet Pill Is Safe When You Take Synthroid?
A thyroid is a gland which controls your metabolic rate. Sometimes it can work to fast ( over-active) and sometimes it can work so slow (under-active).
You sound as you have an under-active thyroid, which may be causing you to gain weight.
I would not recommend any pills as this might interfere with your treatment.
Ask your specialist for help and advice about diet and exercise management for your condition.
Do not turn to anything that offers a miracle cure as they can be dangerous and worst. At best they are false treatments ad you will simply lose your money and feel disappointed.
Do All Of The Major Weight Loss Pills Have Caffeine?
I Have Read That The Major Weight Loss Supplements Are Mostly Caffeine (Xenadrine, Stacker, Trim Spa, Ect.). This Is Why Most Pro Athletes Do Not Use Them. Is This Statement True? Are There Any Caffeine Free Supplements? Also, Is It True That Ephedra Is A Form Of Caffeine?
You're right -- ALL the major weight loss pills are either LOADED with caffeine or they contain ephedra, which can be lethal if taken by teenagers or persons suffering from high blood pressure or heart disease. That is EXACTLY why pro-athletes won't take them. Ephedra = ephedrine hydrochloride, but I have no idea if that's in the caffeine family. And no, I can't name any weight loss or fat burning supplement that doesn't contain caffeine or ephedra (or both). BOTTOM LINE: They don't work over the long term and can have nasty long-term effects. The high levels of caffeine and/or ephedra mess with your metabolism and actually cause your metabolism to run slower after you stop taking them. So you could take them for a few months, lose the weight you want to lose, but once you stop you'll have to exercise harder or eat a lot less just to maintain. Not good. You're better off going the natural way. Check out the website below for a plan to lose weight and keep it off without the use of fat burners, supplements, or pills.
Is There A Weight-Loss Pill That Is Safe To Take While Breastfeeding?
I Am Having Trouble Losing Weight After The Birth Of My Daughter, And I Was Wondering If There Was A Pill Or Supplement That Would Be Safe To Take While I Am Still Breastfeeding Her. No Rude Comments Please.
I don't believe anything is safe to take while BF, but that's just my opinion.
Your best bet for weight loss is to watch your diet. Make sure you're drinking up to 1/2 gallon of water or more a day.
Eat up to 5-6 meals a day, with two of those being a healthy snack.
Avoid sodas, chips and anything fried. Bake or grill your foods.
Eat plenty of veggies.
Watch your fruit intake as it does have a lot of sugar, although 2 servings a day is plenty.
Half your normal serving size. DO NOT go back for seconds.
DO NOT starve yourself.
EAt at the same times every day.
Don't call it a diet or you will fail yourself. Say I'm cutting back trying to slim down.
All this is healthy and best for your BF baby too.
Weight loss isn't easy, especially after childbirth. Time, patience and dedication are key.
Ways That I Can Control My Ibs With Diet?
About A Year Ago I Was Diagnosed With Ibs. I Was Having Really Bad Anxiety (It Was My Freshman Year Of College) And The Anxiety Caused Me Not To Eat Normally (There Were Days Where I Would Hardly Eat), Which Gave Me A Bunch Of Worsened Gi Problems--Mainly Chronic Nausea And Cramping. One Of These Was A Sludgeball In My Gallbladder From Fasting (Although I Was Told It Is Not Supposed To Produce Any Symptoms) And Gastroparesis Which I Believe Has Resolved On Its Own (I Saw A Specialist Gi For This)
Mainly What My Problem Has Been Lately Is That I Get Diarrhea A Lot. Sometimes It Is Loose, Sometimes It Is Very Watery. A Year Ago My Dr. Told Me That It Was Ibs, And That I Should Just Take A Pill For The Intestinal Cramping (Prescribed) And Otc Diarrheal Medication.
A Year Ago While I Was Having Gi Problems And Anxiety I Ate A Very Bland-Low-Fat Diet Which Helped My Stomach Feel Ok And I Hardly Had Problems. Lately I'Ve Been Getting Back To Old Habits And Eating Fast Food And Junk Because Most Of The Time It Does Not Make Me Feel Sick But Occasionally It Will Make Me Very Nauseous And Give Me Diarrhea.
And Today I Had A Pumpkin Spice Latte From Starbucks And I Asked For Soy Milk (Because I Am Lactose Intolerant) But I Believe That They Gave Me Both Regular Milk And Soy Milk Because A Few Hours After Drinking It I Had A Bad Bout Of Nausea And Diarrhea. It'S Gone Now But I'M Wondering What It Is From. I'Ve Had Diarrhea About 10-15 Times In The Past Month And I'M Not Exactly Sure If It Is From My Diet Or Ibs Or Anxiety Or Something??
I Am Also Ending My Period And Am Wondering If It Has Anything To Do With Hormones...
I Know That'S A Lot Haha. I'M Just Wondering...If Any Of You Guys Have Ibs, Do You Control It With Your Diet Or Special Medicines? Could You Give Me Some Examples? Please Let Me Know. Thanks.
Fiber fiber fiber. They make pills for it not but you still have to drink a giant glass of water with it and get up in the middle of the night to go pee.
Fiber will get things regular again and at a great consistency. :P It may take about a week to start getting regular.
What Are The Most Effective Brands Of Weight Training Supplements Available That Is Tested And Proven To Work?
Supplements With Little Ot No Side Effects, Builds Maximum Results In Immediately,
I can't speak for all supplements, but I am considering creatine now. I am investigating it first, though. Many creatine brands do no more than cause you to retain water, so you have to get the right kind. So far, in speaking with experts, "SIZEON" at GNC seems to be one of the better creatine supplements. But I'm still looking into it more - I don't want to waste my time and money on something that's not going to work.

Is It Safe To Drink Weight Loss Protein Shake'S While Breastfeeding?
My Baby Is About To Turn 3 Month'S Old And I Still Have The Postpartum Pregnancy Weight, And I Am Trying To Lose It Or At Least Lose A Couple Of Pounds. I Do Plan To Exercise But Along With It I Would Like To Have An Additional Supplement, Like The Protein Shake. Would This Somehow Affect My Baby In Any Way?
Is There Any Healthy Weight Loss Milkshake That Does Not Contain To Many Chemicals?
It would depend on the particular product you're using. You have to be very careful about using supplements because they have almost no federal controls and many have been found to be of poor quality, contain contaminents, etc. It's much better for you and for baby to get your protein from real food. And, don't forget, protein has the same caloric value as pure sugar...4 cals/gm. Here's the story.
Here's what you need to know about protein supplements.
The most popular protein supplements are no more than milk with the nutrition extracted leaving the whey which is then sold for several times the amount you would pay for dehydrated milk. The result is you get less nutrition and spend more money. How does that make sense?
Your body does not store protein as it does fat. It makes the protein it needs when it needs it. And, if you're building muscle, it needs it over the entire recovery time between workouts and not just before or just after working out. That makes the idea of dumping a bunch of protein into your system at one time senseless.
Most people grossly overestimate the amount of protein they need. Here's how much you need according to the experts at the US National Institute of Health via the CDC. --> http://www.cdc.gov/nutrition/everyone/ba... . Most people in the developed world get that amount of protein in their daily diet because it amounts to no more than a glass of milk, some beans, and a piece of meat. Excess protein is just wasted and most will be excreted by the body or used as fuel supporting fat gain.
Protein supplements are also bad for diets because they are not whole food, have almost no fiber, still contribute calories, but cannot provide the satisfaction and appetite suppression of a natural digestive process. Protein has the same number of calories per gram as sugar.
Here's why protein shakes should be avoided:
• They are not carefully controlled by the FDA as are foods and drugs.
• They may have harmful or undesirable side effects.
• May contain metabolically or biologically unavailable proteins because of processing.
• Will probably provide more protein than you need with the rest going to waste.
• Can unbalance a diet and upset the macronutrient ratios.
• Provide you with extra and unnecessary calories.
• May contain junk food ingredients to make them tasty.
• Possibly provide you unwanted contaminants or toxins. FDA does not require testing.
• Are overpriced and waste money.
• Can ruin a fat loss diet.
• Replaces what you really need - good food!
The secret to building muscle, burning fat, and eating healthy is very simply to eat the correct and optimal amount of whole and varied foods as recommended by the US National Institute of Health. Now here are some references from the experts.
Here is what the US National Institute of Health warns about supplements. "Always check with your health care provider before taking a supplement, especially when combining or substituting them with other foods or medicine."
Here’s a white paper which debunks the myth of the protein supplement. Note the following excerpt...“At present there is no evidence to suggest that supplements are required for optimal muscle growth or strength gain.”
Here's one more study to read. Note the excerpt..."Consumption of a recovery drink (whey protein, amino acids, creatine, and carbohydrate) after strength training workouts did not promote greater gains in FFM (Fat free muscle) compared with consumption of a carbohydrate-only drink.”
Here's what Consumer Reports had to say..."But our investigation, including tests at an outside laboratory of 15 protein drinks, a review of government documents, and interviews with health and fitness experts and consumers, found most people already get enough protein, and there are far better and cheaper ways to add more if it's needed. Some protein drinks can even pose health risks, including exposure to potentially harmful heavy metals, if consumed frequently. All drinks in our tests had at least one sample containing one or more of the following contaminants: arsenic, cadmium, lead, and mercury. Those metals can have toxic effects on several organs in the body."

I Think I Have Something Wrong With My Stomach?
I'M 16, And Everytime I Eat, No Matter How Much Or How Little, And No Matter What It Is, I'Ll Get A Full Feeling And Feel Like I'M Gonna Throw Up. And I Get Really Sharp Pains In My Stomach At Least Twice A Day. I Went To The Doctor And He Scheduled Me A Gallbladder Sonogram, Which I Got And The Results Came Back With Nothing Wrong There. He Also Gave Me A Sample Of Some Pills That I Take 30 Minutes Before Eating Dinner, For Stomach Acid Or Something, But They Didnt Really Do Anything. And He Prescribed Me For Ranitidine Which Is For Stomach Ulcers, And I Take It Once In The Morning And Once At Night. But That Hasnt Made A Difference At All Either, And I'Ve Been Taking It For About 2 Months. And Also, I Take Birth Control, But I'Ve Been Taking That For A Couple Years And These Stomach Problems Have Only Been Going On For A Few Months. I'M Getting Really Tired Of It, Cause I'Ll Eat Half Of A Poptart And Feel Sick. I Really Need Help Figuring Out Whats Wrong! :( And No, I Am Not Pregnant. I'M A Virgin. Incase That Helps Anything.
I am not a doctor, but your experiences sound like mine did and I suffered for many years after becoming an adult with this type of stomach issue. I am telling you this because my symptoms were left untreated for so many years because my symptoms would suddenly appear, be very painful, then go away as fast as they came. The doctor never witnessed an attack, so he always just gave me antacids, etc. When I was your age, I would go a few years between attacks, and they were tolerable. As the years passed, they became more frequent and the pain was just unbelievable, intolerable. The doctors still said they didn't know what was wrong. Finally, a few years ago, I got where I could not eat one bite of ANYTHING without having an attack. One day. I had an attack that never went away, I almost died from my blood pressure going up so high from the pain and had to have emergency surgery to remove my hugely swollen gall bladder. They usually get it out through your belly button through a one inch incision, but mine was so big they sliced a 6 inch gash across my belly to get that thing out. What the "attacks" had been was that swelling of the gall bladder usually brought on by eating greasy/oily food.
I wish I had been told, when I was your age and the disease hadn't progressed, how to eat so not to destroy the organ. You may have gall bladder disease developing and if you eat a good diet, you can perhaps avoid surgery at a later date. My own bad eating habits caused this whole thing. So, don't give up on finding what is wrong. There is also a digestive ailment called "Gastroparesis" which is "slow stomach emptying" and it also causes the symptoms you described, but does not cause pain or cramps. Do not give up finding the source of your problem. I gave up and I am very sorry I did. Good Luck, honey.
