If you quit now then I wouldn't think it would harm anything. I do know that prolonged use of a tanning bed during pregnancy can be harmful to a fetus. I think the risk are minimal, but is anything really minimal when it comes to our unborn child. As for the diet pills I would ask your ob she is the only one who would really know that.
Generally speaking contraceptive pills are used to prevent pregnancy ONLY when you take theem and when you stop taking them your system returns back to normaland your fertility retursn back as if you haven't been taking any pills.
