How Can I Lose Weight Without The Systems, Diets, Or Pills?
Hi Everyone. I'M 5'6 And I'M About 162. 5 Months Or So Ago I Used To Be 180 So Since Then I'Ve Lost 20 Lbs, But For The Past Month Or Two I'Ve Lost Basically Nothing. I Eat Healthy Most Of The Time And Always Work Out. I Sleep Well And Drink Lots Of Water. How Can I Lose Weight Fast Without The Systems, Diets, Or Pills? I Know Everything That Your Suppose To Know About Weight Lose, But For Me Nothings Happening.
I graduated high school at 240 pounds and at 5 foot 3 that made me about as round as I was tall. I was one of those overweight teenagers who ate anything and everything without any regard to the effects it was having on my own body. Therefore, I began the diet pills, which did not work; I ate the special diet foods and even began drinking diet beverages. None of this stuff worked for me, just as it does not work for millions of overweight people. Eating less did not work and I was not one to work out or even get up and do anything remotely related to exercise. I knew I would look silly and it would hurt. I never thought or really cared about the health effects this would have on me, back then.
A year ago after a successful weight loss plan, now at 120 pounds, it is a major difference. I've lost 30 pounds in the first month. The most significant change in my life is the amount of energy I now have and the way my clothes fit loosely. Everyone close to me and people I haven’t seen in a while are amazed and tell me that I look really good. This is a life changing experience for me although at first I was skeptical about the weight loss plan.

Do Protein Shakes Help You Lose Weight?
The purpose of a protein shake is to supplement regular "food" protein. No, it does not help you lose weight. However, it is an easy way to get a fairly healthy snack in during the day that offers protein. There are plenty of powders out there, you just need to find one that you like. I mix mine with fruit and milk...so I have a very low carb powder. Make sure to pay attention to the counts on the Label when purchasing them. A lot of powders come with high grams of carbs to give them taste. Probably one of the most tasty proteins...by itself...is Muscle Milk. This will not help you lose weight though. It's pretty high in carbs and fat. I would suggest you look for a powder that is basically all protein and then mix with fruit and milk. More than likely, anything you buy off a shelf and make yourself WILL NOT TASTE LIKE SMOOTHIE KING. Good luck.
What Can I Do To Loose Weight? Drink Mix? Pill?
Okay.. I'M Only 16 Going On 17 In August.
I Want To Lose Weight, Bad! I'M 150 Pounds. I Don'T Look Fat What So Ever, I Have Muscles On My Theigh And I Have Big Theighs... Not Big Like Big Girls Have Them. I'M Only 5'4&Quot;. I Want To Lose Weight On My Stomach, Which Is Not Bad, I Just Have A Small Little Muffin Top And Lose Weight For The Hell Of It. I'M Starting To Go To The Gym Everyday, Going In The Steam Room For 20 Minutes A Day, And Starting Tomorrow I'M Going To Be On A Diet. But I Want To Lose Weight As Soon As Possible! Is There Any Type Of Drink Mix, Pill, Or Whatever I Can To Help Me Loose Weight? Pleaseeee. Thank You!
Oh! And If They Are Mix Things Or Pill... It Has To Be A Place Like Walmart, Walgreens, Or Target. And Less Than $20.
Don't bother with fat loss pills. There are only two products to be proven to increase fat oxidisation for fat loss and they are green tea and caffeine. If it doesn't contain at least one of them it won't work. If it does contain them, well it's cheaper to drink a cup of coffee or green tea. one cup of green tea a day has the same effects as the best diet pills available. Don't waste your money on them.
For your diet eat mostly vegetables and whole grain or multi grain breads, pastas and cereals. Allow yourself two serves of low fat dairy products (avoid cheese) and one serve of lean meat. Eat 3 meals a day with a snack between each. Good snacks can include a piece of raw, fresh fruit or a handful of raw, unsalted nuts. Avoid butter, excess sugars and salt, soda and alcohol.
Good luck with your goals and stay healthy after you reach them.
Do Protein Bars Help You Lose Weight?
Just Curiously About This. I Suppose If You Eat More Protein It Helps. I Would Love To Be More Toned
Not really. Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we've known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.
Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.
Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.
Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can't get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one.
In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy.
Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don't. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies.
Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day.
Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.
Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body.
An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.

How Do I Lose Weight Without Exercise Or Proper Diet?
I Am 22 Years Old And I Do Not Like To Work. Don'T Get Me Wrong...I&Quot;M Not Lazy, People Are Just Stupid. You Know How It Is. So Anyway, I Sit Around Playing Video Games And Smoking Marijuana Most The Day. I'Ve Seen Infomercials Of Fat Burning Supplements On Tv And Would Love To Go This Route However I Have Difficulty Swallowing Pills. Plus I'M Broke. I Usually Have To Borrow Money From My Parents To Get Food From The Mcdonalds Down The Street. The Closest Grocery Store Is Almost A Mile Away And I Don'T Feel Like Biking Such A Long Distance. Does Anyone Know Some Alternative Ways For Young People To Lose Weight? No Stupid Answers Please.
Well written, made me laugh. Thank you.
Where do you get the money for the pot? Use that for a gym membership or for those magic pills from on tv. What about heroin? Every heroin addict I know is supper skinny. Or you could watch teenage girl tv programing, maybe it will trigger an eating disorder? Have you tried throwing up until you're skinny?
Does Whey Protein Powder Help You Lose Weight.?
I'M 17 I Wanna Lose Some Weight At Least Before The Summer Time So I Was Thinking About Buying And Using That But I Read Online That If You Don'T Work Out When You Drink It It Will Just Sit There And Become Fat. So What Type Of Workouts Do I Need To Do And If That Dosen'T Help Lose Weight What Stuff Does. Thanks
Depends on how you use it. If you're using one to 'supplement' a meal - such as a pre workout breakfast. That's fine. Because it contains what you need(vitamins, minerals etc) and most likely contains fewer calories than your average meal. However - if you're drinking these along with meals. It will put on weight, most assuredly unless you're extremely active. You'd have to be to offset that many calories!
If you wanna lose weight. Gotta exercise and intake fewer calories to start off with. Not much though or your body may go into starvation mode and store whatever you eat. Other than just cutting calories, the calories you are putting into your body need to be heather. Lower(or no) saturated fat, lower in sugar. Should be plenty of fresh fruits, vegetables, lean meats, and whole grains. While cutting calories, you still have to put back in enough of the good ones.
Anyone Recommend Any Food Supplements Or Dietary Pills?
I'm A Thirteen Year Old Girl And I Am Healthy But I Want To Take Some Sort Of Dietary Pills, Fish Oil, Or Something To Make Me Even Healthier. Anyone Know Or Take Any Sort Of Brand They Would Recommend. Do You Get It From A Health Food Store?
I'd suggest a multivitamin. Right now that should be all you need. If you've begun having periods make sure you get some folic acid in the vitamin. Fish oil is a good additive for omega fatty acids but it can give you a "fish burp" when it starts digesting.
Just remember whenever you go to the doctor to let them know everything you are taking so they don't accidentally give you something that interacts with your supplements.
All my supplements are by Nature Made.
Do Birth Control Pills Help Acne?
Im 24 And Still Suffer From Acne- Ugh- Do Birth Control Really Work-Anyone With Experience Please Let Me Know. I Just Am Hesitant Because I Also Heard Birth Control Makes You Gain Weight Too. But I Really Am Tired Of Acne On My Face- People Still Think Im Like 18 Because Of It- Well Plus I Am Petite As Well. =P
Not all birth control pills prevent acne but some do! Some also make you gain wait, but that depends on the pill and on the person. Birth control pills is something you have to discuss with your doctor anyways so I suggest you talk to him or her about it. They can also prescribe you something for your acne and then you don't need the pills.
The things you eat have no affect on your skin whatsoever, I asked my dermatologist. (Unless of course if you are allergic to something :p)
What Is The Best Over-The-Counter Diet Pill?
I Am Having A Very Hard Time Losing The Last 20-30 Lbs After Having A Baby (Had 2 Babies 15 Months Apart Both Via C-Section). Right Now I Do Not Have Much Time To Exercise, But That Will Change In About A Month (My Husband Is Deployed And I Have My Hands Full). I Need Something That Really Helps To Get Rid Of Cravings. I Eat All The Time, Even When I Am Not Hungry. Any Suggestions?
Don't take a pill. Focus more on planning a healthy diet and exercise. Don't eat fast-carbs such as white bread, white rice, flour totillas, anything of that matter. Eat slow-carbs like wheat bread, oatmeal, wheat bagels, potatoes, etc. No sugars, stay away from sweets. For the workout, try cardio with resistance training. I would say 50/50 each but every person is different. Sleep is also important, try to get at least 8 hrs per night. The diet is the main factor, no matter how hard you train, if you don't have a clean diet then most likely you won't see the desire.
Helpppp!?? Dietary Supplements..?
So When I Was 14 Years Old, I Took Hydroxycut Pills And I Drank Two Bottles Worth Of Water/The Hydroxycut Drink Mix... And I Lost 18 Pounds Within Two Weeks But Was Hospitalized For Dehydration. Also Please Don'T Tell Me Not To Take Diet Pills That Its A Scam, Because I'M Gonna Take Them Anyway.. But Don'T Worry I'M Not Gonna Be Like I Was 14 And Taking To Much Of It.
Thank You So Much For Your Input:)
I have not used this product, nor would I recommend it. If a person loses 4.5 lbs. in 3 days, it is 99.5% water loss. This product has been linked to adverse side effects, even death. To give them credit, even the Xenadrine website advises exercise and sensible caloric restriction. Yes, at your weight and height, you need to reduce. However, at your age it will be easy. With 45 minutes aerobic exercise & eliminating sugar & white flour & soft drinks (even diet) you should be able to take off 2 lbs. a week. If you take weight off with sensible diet (slowly) you will learn how to stay slim for the rest of your life. If you take it off rapidly, you will put it back on twice as fast. If you wanted someone to say YES, it's a good product, you shouldn't have asked in ALTERNATIVE medicine. ;D That said, Yes, I believe this product may give you a boost to get started and encourage you to stay with a plan. Take it short-term, please!
