What Is A Good Supplement To Gain Weight?
Well Im 6'4" And 155Lbs Basically Too Skinny. I'm 22 Years Old And After College I Decided I Didnt Like What I Have A Degree In So I Was Wanting To Join The State Highway Patrol But I Dont Weigh Enough. I Need To Put On At Least 20Lbs. So Does Anyone Know What The Best Weight Gainer Is Out There For A Decent Price I Currently Work Out 4 Days A Week And Eat 3500-5000 Calories A Day But Its Just Not Enough.
So Basically What Legal Powder/Pills/Supplements On Top Of Normal Eating And Exercise Will Help Me Build Muscle ( I Dont Want Fat).
you can buy a weight gainer which is like whey protein but with tons of calories and carbs....
sadly weight gainers only make you gain fat, and it is a myth that you need to be fat to gain muscle, if weight gainers really did give you muscle they would be called muscle gainers, whereas they are called weight/mass gainers which is a clever way of covering up the fact that the weight or mass is fat and not muscle.
if you want to build muscle all i would reccomend is you workout hard and take in alot of protein, 1gam per lb of bodyweight is the minimum. look to get most of this from whey protein, i would also reccomend oats as a good pre-workout source of carbs, i currently use ultra fine scottish oats from myprotein.co.uk which mix really well in a protein shake.
if your struggling to recover or have sore muscles take L-glutamine, it has a number of functions and helps with building muscle when taken in large amounts, most whey proteins contain alot of L-glutamine for this reason. on whey protein contrainers where it lists the amino acid content L-glutamine is often listed as L-Glutamic Acid, and you will find there is alot of it in comparison to the other aminos so if you consuming alot of whey protein you may not need it.
creatine does nothing for your muscle mass, all it does is provide your muscles with a readily available energy source which only athletes and serious bodybuilders need, many people dont understand what it actually does and think its a miracle supplement, my advice is stay away from it as you clearly dont need energy.
Experiences With Lamictal?
My Doctor Has Put Me Lamictal For My Bipolar Disorder. Can Anyone Tell Me Their Good Or Bad Experiences With The Drug. I Am Especially Curious About How It Affects Weight And Hair. My Last Medication Made Chunks Of My Hair Fall Out And I'M Trying To Avoid That Again. Thanks.
My doctor told me when she started me on Lamictal that some medicines for Bipolar disorder can cause weight gain, and that lamictal was her first choice for me because of its tendency to NOT cause the weight gain that others do. (It doesn't make you lose weight, just not gain.)
I haven't gained any at all, so I'm trusting her opinion on that so far.
Also, I haven't experienced any hair loss issues. This is my first time being on a medicine for Bipolar disorder, so I don't have any previous experiences to compare it to.
However, one of the things I did notice on Lamictal is that yes, it stabilizes my mood, but it seems to just prevent me from getting manic "highs". I take Wellbutrin XL for manic lows (have been for the last year & 1/2), so really the only thing I notice that Lamictal does is prevent the extremely happy episodes... which I can't say that I appreciate.
One side effect that I am definitely getting from the Lamictal is A) having a very hard time with short term memory and word retrieval, and B) very weird and realistic hallucinations and visions at night.
With the memory - i will walk into a room and immediately forget why I came into the room. Sometimes I have to leave and come back when I remember, or sometimes I just stand there and retrace my steps to figure it out. I also cannot for the life of me remember simple words in my normal vocabulary. I find myself using a thesaurus multiple times a day. This is very, very uncharacteristic of me.
With the hallucinations - they're extremely real, I'm completely awake, and I remember them clearly the next day. They are more than seeing things - I'm completely convinced that I feel things moving around as well (such as an animal squirming under the covers).
Those are the experiences I've had with it so far. I'm not convinced that it's the medicine for me. That's mostly because I'm not convinced that I need a mood stabilizer, since I feel that the Wellbutrin XL helps me to the extent that I need.
Hope this helps! Feel free to email me with any questions you might have about it. email@example.com
Where To Purchase Alli?
Where Can I Purchase Alli And Is It Safe? Dont' See Much Info Out There About It.
I suggest you not buy it. You only lose 1 pound a month with some nasty side effects. People who tested it only lost 1 pound per month, that's barely effective in my opinion. It works by blocking some of the fat normally digested by the intestine. But the gross thing is guess where the fat ends up? The side effects include diarrhea, anal leakage, Fatty/oily stool, oily spotting, intestinal gas with discharge, bowel movement urgency, poor bowel control and headaches. Doesn't sound like fun to me, what are people suppose to do wear a diaper?
I suggest two all natural diet pills that are safe and have no side effects. They are Hoodia Gordonii and Cha de Bugre.
Hoodia Gordonii is a natural appetite suppressant derived from a South African cactus that the bushmen have eaten there for thousands of years. You need to make sure you get a strong pure hoodia that is certified to be genuine. I aways recommend Totalink's unbiased Hoodia comparison at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/hoodi...
Cha de Bugre, is a new weight loss supplement that is growing in popularity and is similar to Ma Huang (Ephedrine) without any of the bad effects. Cha de Bugre is from Brazil and has been used there safely for centuries. Cha de Bugre provides energy, fat burning and appetite suppression that benefit weight loss. Cha de Bugre also has additional uses that are known in Brazil that include being used as a mild diuretic, a cellulite reducer, aides in reducing herpes simplex outbreaks and a heart tonic. You can find more about it at http://hoodiagordonii.totalink.com/cha_d...
Hope this helps, if you want to know more about Hoodia I have written a lot of articles on it. Just search Yahoo or Google under my name “Andrew Aitaken” to find them.
Remember, you should always consult your physician before taking any diet pill or weight loss supplement.
What Are The Best Websites That Have Ephedra Diet Pills? 10 Points Best Answer!!!!?
Please Just Give Me The Website And Tell Me If You'Ve Tried Any Of The Products And How They Worked For You. No Lectures Please Ten Points For Whoever Has The Best!!!!
The truth is most every ephedra diet pill these days is nearly useless because the ephedra in them does not contain the important chemical called ephedrine.
Read the ingredients label and you will see they all have something they call Ephedra Extract but they never list the chemical ephedrine and if it was in the fat burner then they would be required to list it on the label.
Ephedrine + caffeine was the required chemical combination that actually burned fat. Putting ephedrine in fat burners is illegal in the US and many other countries. Or they also used to call it ephedra alkaloids, since ephedrine was the natural alkaloid found in herbal ephedra or ma huang.
They now use ephedra that does not contain this important chemical in order to make their "ephedra diet pills" legal. The public is being ripped off due to the consumer's lack of knowledge.
I know of one place where you can get the real thing, learn more at www.dietephedrine.org
What Is The Best Supplement To Use For My Horse To Gain Weight?
Two Years Ago I Joined The Army And Left My Horse (Chester) In The Hands Of A 17 Year Old Girl That Came Highly Recommended. I Got Out Of The Army And Began Attending A Trade School In Oklahoma. I Came Home On Summer Leave And Went To See Chester And Found Him In Terrible Shape. I Drop Out Of School And Came Back Home To Take Care Of Him. He Was Close To 300 Lbs Under Weight And Had A Terrible Parasitic Itch All Over His Body Which Because Of Him Scratching So Much He Popped Blood Vessels In His Ear And His Ear Had To Be Treated And Wrapped Everyday And His Teeth Needed To Undergo Two Oral Surgeries. One Of Which He Has Already Completed. It Has Been Three Months And Many Steroids Later, And Chester'S Ear Is Better And He No Longer Has The Itch And He Is Starting To Be Able To Chew Harder Foods Like Carrots. I Think It Is Time To Start Some Supplements. Chester Has Always Been An &Quot;Easy Keeper&Quot; We Have Giving Him Corn Oil To Make His Coat Shinny And Have Used Garlic Powder To Help Ease The Bugs During The Summer, But Other Then That I Have No Knowledge Of Supplements And Am Nervous About Them. He Is Older, But Not Old Old. He Is Only 18 ( I Got Him When He Was 4) And I Don'T Know If A Senior Feed Would Help With Weight Gain? He Also Seems To Have Muscle Loss In His Hips. What Should I Do?
What a terrible situation!! The poor guy!
I would definitely recommend staying away from sweet feeds and finding a good complete pelleted feed. This will have what he needs and can be soaked to form a mash that will be easier for him to digest.
I would also recommend adding BOSS (Black Oil Sunflower Seeds) with Alfalfa pellets (also can be soaked). BOSS is high in Omega 3 & 6 to help with skin/coat/hoof health as well as weight gain. It is also high in Amino Acids for muscle building and maintenance. I would recommend feeding about 1.5 lbs of BOSS with 3 lbs of Alfalfa pellets daily.
For both the feed and BOSS/Alfalfa combo, you'll need to work him up slowly, introducing smaller feedings and increasing slightly after a few days. If possible, feed him two or three times a day.
Once he's nearing a healthy weight, start cutting back on the BOSS/Alfalfa. If you want to keep him on this combo for maintenance, a half pound to a pound of BOSS with a pound to two pounds of alfalfa should keep him in good health. (When at the lower doses, you can probably feed the BOSS without Alfalfa. You'll want it when feeding the higher doses though to keep the calcium to phosphorus ratio in his feed balanced.)
I have used this on several OTTBs to get them to good weights and it has worked wonders!
The best of luck to you and Chester!
Are Caffeine Pills Effective For Weight Loss?
I Want To Lose Weight, And I Go To The Gym At Least Three Times A Week, But My Appetite Is So Huge I Find Myself Always Hungry. I'M Not Making The Progress I Want Because I'M Always Munching Away. Should I Try Caffeine Pills? I Don'T Plan On Taking More Than One Maybe Like Twice A Week In The Mornings. Thoughts?
Caffeine pills are a sort of drug that acts as a stimulant and increases energy levels of a person. The pills actually stimulate the central nervous system, and hence, the person gets all active and energetic. So, it works as Appetite suppression and calorie burning, and thus, may help in weight loss either burning a few calorie or prevent weight gain. But there's no evidence that increased caffeine consumption results in significant or permanent weight loss. Caffeine pills are diuretics in nature which means it causes an increase in the urine excretion. The water loss may temporarily decrease your body weight.
Caffeine pills are high on caffeine amount and an average caffeine pill contains 200mg of caffeine in it. So, it may have adverse effect on your health that can increase your heart rate and blood pressure, interrupt your sleep, and cause nervousness and irritability.
Since you are planning to take only twice a week, it won't have much effect nor will adversely affect you. It's always advisable to lose weight steadily. Eating healthy, low calorie food items versus junk fatty foods. Going for high quality vegetarian food is recommended. Drinking lots of water help to enhance metabolism. It's good that you are active in gym and continue gym activities.
Best wishes for your healthy life!
What Is Ephedra Extract?
A Fired Of Mine Is Taking A Diet Pill That Is Said To Have &Quot;Ephedra Extrract&Quot; In It. She Claims It Is The Legal Kind And It Seems To Be Really Working For Her. What Is It And Where Do I Get Me Some?
Ephedra isn't "illegal" in the first place, the drug form was just removed from the market because of the harmful side effects and heavy abuse potential (including people that have died from taking it too much/long). I'm assuming that the diet pill your friend is taking is either a very old product (not likely) or it has the herb that Ephedra was first isolated from... either way, the same warnings apply that it can be too stimulating and it will make you cough up stuff. Most places don't sell it because of the potential health concerns, many of which are listed at http://www.drugs.com/cdi/ephedra.html
Personally, I would recommend against anyone taking this, but I'm sure there are still people that take it to get their heart racing or whatnot... that's actually why it helps some people lose weight, it's almost like Speed that it makes your heart race, which burns a few extra calories (although exercise is better and safer). Good luck and I hope I helped!
My Boyfriend Wants To Gain Weight, Whats The Best Supplement Pill To Use?
Hes 18 And Around 6 Foot And Weighs 130Ish. Hes Just Hates His Legs And I Want To Get Him Something To Help Him Get More Confidence. What Are The Best Supplement Pills To Get Him To Gain The Weight.
Have him look into beef liver tablets if he wants extra protein. He shouldn't try to put on too much weight too fast, or most of it will be fat. I had the same trouble when I was his age; I'm 52 now. He should eat right and eat a lot. Junk food, sugar and soda pop should be stricken from his diet. Go to a supplement store and talk to the people there. Ideally, he should invest some money in a professional trainer. At his age, the advice he will get from a professional will be invaluable to him as he progresses in his training career. I wish I'd had the opportunity to work with a trainer when I was his age.
What Are The Benefits Of Taking Multivitamins?
Dietary supplements are intended to supplement, not substitute, the benefits of a good diet.
Even the FDA recognizes the need for dietary supplementation. They have been adding extra dietary supplements to white flour for nearly 100 years. Before that, about 10,000 Americans died each year due to a dietary deficiency disease called Pellagra.
In 1998, the FDA added more supplements to white flour. By adding Folic Acid, the Spina Bifida rate has dropped 30% in the US.
In 2002, through the Journal of the American Medical Association, the AMA reported that all people should consider basic supplementation due to the overwealing data that has proven that people are not getting enough nutrition from diet alone.
People who say you can get enough nutrition from diet alone are unaware of the facts.
Can Gastroparesis Be Cured?
When I Started Having The Cronic Stomach Pains Right After New Years I Thought I Was In My Own Little Hell And Know One Would Help Me. After Many Many Blood Tests Ultrasounds Etc They Find Out I Have Gastroparesis At 16 In May. And I'M Starting To Get More Of The Pains In The Beginning Then Ever Again. Could It Be Of Diet Or I Took My Medicine To Early And Short Or Eachother? I Took 2 Medication Erythemisin Pills 3 Hours Apart 2 Tylenols One Each Hour For Headaches And My Dad Gave Me An Alieve Since I Can Take Ibprophen :/ Which Worked But The Next Day I Had Like Dull Pain In Stomach Should I Be Worried Or Let It Pass?
Cured? Probably not. If there is some condition (like diabetes) that is causing your gastroparesis, and that is treated effectively, then your symptoms may improve.
The condition is one that you have to manage with smaller meals, and by avoiding meals with foods that worsen the symptoms for YOU. Everybody is a little different, but it is suggested that you avoid greasy meals, large amounts of raw fruits and veggies, and carbonated beverages.
Your stomach pain may be unrelated to the gastroparesis. Erythromycin is famous for causing stomach pain, and NSAIDs like ibuprofen and Aleve can irritate the stomach lining and cause gastritis. It is best to take those with food.
You are going to have to be very careful with your diet, and try to work out what causes you the least amount of symptoms.
